Problem Note 52575: Pink cells that are displayed in a SAS® Financial Management report might be due to an invalid exchange rate

DetailsAboutRate It

Pink cells might be displayed in a SAS Financial Management data-entry form or report if the exchange rate is invalid. This problem might occur in the following scenario.

  1. The exchange rate set was defined using multiple dimension types. To confirm this, in SAS Financial Management Studio, right-click on the exchange rate set and select Properties. Select Dimension Types to view the dimension types that are used in this exchange rate.
  2. The CURRENCY_COMPLEX_EXCH_RATE SAS table only defines dimension member IDs for a subset of the dimension types. This data is loaded into the Solutions data mart.

To correct this problem, delete the incorrect rates in the Exchange Rates in SAS Financial Management Studio.

Note that this problem only occurs when you are importing complex exchange rates (for example, Historic and Derived).

Follow these steps to prevent this problem from occurring:

  1. Make a backup copy of the cycdrate.sas and cycxrate.sas programs in the installation-drive:\Program Files\SASHome\SASFoundation\9.4\finance\sasmacro directory.
  2. Download the SN052575.zip file and extract the contents to the installation-drive:\Program Files\SASHome\SASFoundation\9.4\finance\sasmacro directory.
